He is survived by: his granddaughter Julie; his wife Linda Barns of Grinnell; his children, Dave Barns (Monica) of Grinnell and Julie Barns (Rod Matthews) of Rome, Georgia; his brothers, Skip Barns (Mary Kate) of Hannibal and Jim Barns (Sheri) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and his sister-in-law Lavon Roush of Kansas City.
