It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeffrey Dean Potter of Grinnell, Iowa, born in Newton, Iowa, who passed away on July 21, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Potter and Dorothy Potter (Busby); his brother H. James Potter; his sister-in-law Sharon Atwood; and his nephew Scott Atwood.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine E. Potter (Atwood) of Newton; his brothers, Bruce Potter (Jody) of Grinnell and Craig Potter of Newton; his sister-in-law Diane Potter of Des Moines; and his nieces and nephews, Erik Potter, Andrew Potter, Katie Revell (Potter), Josh Potter, Meaghan Potter-Lynch, Jake Potter-Lynch, Emmett Lynch and Chris Atwood.

Memorials are being designated to American Heart Association and National Kidney Foundation.
