She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smith and Mildred Smith (Nelson). She is survived by: her children, Dennis and Susan; her husband Charles Carnahan of Grinnell; her children, Denny Carnahan (Sue) of Kellogg, Richard Carnahan (Sondra) of Bondurant, Sue Schilder of Grinnell, Kent Carnahan of Bondurant and Joel Carnahan (Dawn) of Grinnell; and her siblings, Judy Baughman of Columbia, Sandy Smith of Fredrick and Charles Smith (Diane) of Havelock. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Jean's love of her family and her faith in Christ were her foundation.
