He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Heyveld and Donna McConeghey Heyveld; his parents-in-law, Henry and Deretha Sneller; his brothers-in-law, Marvin Bishop and Harold Tibbel; and his grandson Cory Lane.

He is survived by: his wife Connie of Grinnell; his children, Chris Heyveld of Newton and Chad Heyveld of Brooklyn; his grandson Cody Heyveld (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Lillian, Henry and Jackson; his siblings, Gloria Bishop of Newton and Galen Heyveld of Newton; his pet Digsby; and also, Miley, Sophie of Kansas City, Deryk Heyveld (Shiann) of Montezuma, Mitchell Heyveld (Autumn) of Kellogg, Clint Heyveld of Newton and Elizabeth Ace Heyveld (Jordan) of Brooklyn.
