She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Schafer and Katherina Schafer (Huck); her husband Earl Benjamin Story, Jr.; her daughter Tru Ann; her grandson Benjamin Earl Whisenand; her great grandchild Lennox Weitnauer; her grandson Daniel Balm; her siblings, Franz, Jerome (Harry), Alexander, Joseph, George, Edward, Rosemary Palmer, Mary Sims, Matilda Fullterton (Tillie) and Loretta Schantz; and her daughter-in-law Gigi Myers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Story of Gardner, KS, June Golden (Gregory) of Tucson, AZ, Robin Pollock (Steve) of Grinnell, IA, Angela Story (Jon Balm) of Brooklyn, IA and Alison Jacoby (Jerome) of Waterloo, IA. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.
