He was predeceased by: his parent Edgar Richard Dean. He is survived by: his parent Mary Frances Clayton Dean; his spouse Sandi Dean; his children, Jennifer Lesher (Steve) of Somerset and Henry Clay Dean (Jade) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Rebecca Dean, Samantha Dean, Mary Lesher, Jessica Lesher, Christina Dean, Alena Dean and Alexander Lesher; and his siblings, Allen Dean (Carol), Barbara Sue Dean Smith and Catherine Harding (Dale). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials given will be donated to the Rebel's Cove Historical Society.
