He was predeceased by: his parents, Geurt Beyer and Hattie Beyer (VerSteegh); his wife Geraldine Beyer; and his siblings, Richard, Glen, Dale, Lester, Melvin Beyer, Helen Willemsen and Margaret Sparks.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Bristle (Michael) of Bixby, Sandy Motta (Russ) of Grinnell Iowa, Lorri Gettes (Eric) of Clinton, Iowa and Gary Beyer (Karen) of Nashua, Iowa. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
