She was predeceased by: her parents, William Erwin and Elsie Erwin (Foster); her former husband James Pinkerton; her husband John Whannel; her son Randy Pinkerton; her great grandchild Tanin Puls; her siblings, Tom Erwin of Newton, Clair Erwin (Dorothy) of Marshalltown and Darlene Cross (Kermit) of Marshalltown; and her sister-in-law Joan Erwin.
She is survived by: her son James Pinkerton of Fort Dodge; her daughter-in-law Lisa Pinkerton of Grinnell; her grandchildren, Ashley Titus, Skyler Pinkerton, Brianna Ziebol (Mitch), Corey Puls (Casey) and Dustin Puls (Brittany); her brother Charles Erwin of Marshalltown; and her sister-in-law Irene Oetker Erwin (Hattie Durbin).
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
