She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Aswegan and Shirley Aswegan (Schlicht); her siblings, Russell, Robert, Randy and Cathy; and her father-in-law Ronald Sokol.
She is survived by: her husband Steve Sokol of Grinnell; her children, Michael Sokol (Sally) of Grinnell and Brandi Treece (Jeremiah) of Kirksville; her grandchildren, Cameron Sokol (Marissa Papacek) of Grinnell, Dirk Sokol of Grinnell, Joe Sokol of Grinnell, Gabriela and Addison of Kirksville; her siblings, Connie Huber (Keith Meyer) of Cedar Rapids and Richard Aswegan (Sandy) of Marion; her sister-in-law Susan Pansegrau (Dave) of Belle Plaine; and her mother-in-law Marilyn Sokol of Belle Plaine.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grinnell Eagles Club (616 4th Ave, Grinnell, IA 50112).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
