He is survived by: his mother Eva Fortner (Asberry) of Grinnell; his brothers, Danny Fortner of Grinnell and Harold Fortner (Mariann) of Grinnell; his stepson Cory Townsend (Carissa) of Grinnell; his stepgrandchildren, Emma, Braxton, Hailey Jo and Zaine; his niece Jennifer Fortner of Grinnell; and his nephews, Todd Fortner and Jeremy Fortner.
