It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettie Beeler of Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Eugene Snyder and Genevieve Snyder (Kershner); her husband Lyle Beeler; her sons, Terry Beeler and William Beeler; her daughters-in-law, Charlotte Beeler (Tone) and Ruth Beeler; her siblings, Eugene Snyder, Ione Basch, Doris Pogreba, Lois Olmsted and Dorothy Mathison; and her sisters-in-law, Arlene Davenport and Betty Davis.
She is survived by: her son Duane Beeler (Diane) of Grinnell; her grandchildren, Brent Bailey of Alabama, Roger Beeler of Texas, Danny Beeler (Shawna) of Newton, IA, Todd Beeler of Centerville, IA, Rob Beeler of State Center, IA, Rodney Beeler (Michelle Lewis) of Florida, Andrea Beeler (Randy Temple) of Colfax, IA, Kim Youngdale (Ryan) of Clive, IA and Troy Beeler (Ashley) of Cedar Rapids, IA; and her niece Lana Sanders of Bismarck, ND.. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith Funeral Home - Grinnell (1103 Broad St, Grinnell, IA 50112). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Hazelwood Cemetery (120 1st Ave W, Grinnell, IA 50112).
