He is survived by: his parents, John Cookson of Grinnell and Diane Story Cookson of Cedar Rapids; his grandmother Thelma Story of Grinnell; his brothers, Nicholas Cookson (Erin) of Cedar Rapids and Brandon Cookson (Sara) of Cedar Rapids; and his grandparents, Glen, Helen Cookson and Robert Story. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews; one great-nephew; and several other relatives.
Due to Covid-19, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date yet to be determined.
