Philip Kamm wrote a sympathy message

“When I heard the news of Sherrie's passing, it gutted me. I had no idea she was even ill. Sherrie was always my "go to" person at the Help Desk. Often, I felt like a pest having to call to get things fixed, but Sherrie worked each problem with professionalism, tact, and humor. We would talk about music, family -- just about anything while processes were working in the background. Sherrie always was able to put a smile on my face, despite my underlying foul moods at the beginning of a Help Desk call. I, along with many others, will miss hearing her voice dearly. If you will permit me, I would like to leave this prayer for Sherrie's family & friends: Father of all, we pray to you for Sherrie, and for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. Sherrie will be truly missed. SSG Philip Kamm”

Rich Wirfs wrote a sympathy message

“This sad news will be felt across the entire Iowa National Guard. Anyone that was or is an AGR or technician that had to use a computer most likely spoke with Sherrie at one time or another. I was fortunate enough to be one of her problem children, as she called me. It was always a pleasant experience when talking to her while she worked on fixing my computer issues. She would talk about her family, her pets, and life in general. It was like calling a member of your family. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Sherrie's family and loved ones in this difficult time. Sincerely, SSG Wirfs (her problem child)”

Tracy Canada wrote a sympathy message

“Oh, my goodness! I can't believe she's gone! Sherrie was one of the sweetest spirits I knew! She was always so cheerful and helpful any time I called the Help Desk! Not to mention reliable! She definitely knew her stuff! She was a subject matter expert! I will definitely miss her contagious "sun-shiny" spirit! Rest easy, Sherrie! You will definitely be missed! Thoughts and prayers to the family during this time of bereavement. It is NEVER easy to let a loved one go. I pray for God's comfort on you during this time. Love, Tracy Canada”
