With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Lee Mitchell (Grimes, Iowa), who passed away on September 5, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Wellmann and Isla Wellmann (Olson); and her husband Gary Mitchell. She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Nieland (Mike), Marilee Mitchell and Valerie Mitchell; her grandchildren, Mark Nieland (Crystal), Peter Nieland (Taylor), Mitchell Nieland, Paige Mowery (Andrew) and Marshall Nieland (Samantha); her great grandchildren, Maxwell Nieland, Nathan Beaulieu, Samantha Kellum, Harper Whitehead and Kaisen Nieland; and her godson Tim Goranson (Kathy).
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated to a charity close to Nancy's heart at a later date.
