He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Hanus of Grimes; his children, Diana Carpenter (Rob) of Webster City, David Hanus of Otho, Dwight Hanus (Amy) of Fort Dodge, Danny Hanus (Penny) of Buford, GA, Angela Lindsey (Justin) of Sioux City and Nicholas Rojas of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Mitch Carpenter (Chelsie), Tyler Carpenter, Ashley Throntveit (Thomas), Jacob Hanus (Abby), Morgan Ladlie (Jacob), Mackenzie Hanus, Madison Hanus, Emilie Olveda, Natalie Hudspeth (Kris), Ashley Olveda and Buddy Lindsey; his great grandchildren, Blair, Savannah, Luke, Claire, Ayla, Brinley, Allie and Joseph; and his siblings, Mary Reiland and Eddie Hanus (Amy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
