He is survived by: his mother Julie Garcia (Light); his stepparents, Felix Garcia of Des Moines and Beth McIlrath of Marshalltown; his sister Casey McIlrath of Ankeny; his nephews, Camdyn Magnuson and Shawn "Sj" Magnuson, Jr.; his grandmother Beryl Light (Glidden); his aunt Ann Parrish (Bill); and his uncles, Mike Light (Molly) of Frisco, Joe McIlrath (Lori) of Wisconsin, David McIlrath of Wisconsin and John (Nicole) of Apple Valley, Minnesota. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
