He was predeceased by: his sons, Jim, Jr. and Donald; his brother Gerald Tuttle; his brother-in-law Jerry Frost; and his grandparents, Dewey Renshaw, Netti Renshaw, Oscar Tuttle and Juno Tuttle.

He is survived by: his wife Jayne of Urbandale; his daughter Kim Salmon (Jon) of Metamora, IL; his grandchildren, Sage, Skai, Autumn and Jordan; his siblings, Kay Dinkla (Daryl), Karen Frost and Keith Tuttle (Connie); his sister-in-law Michelle Horning; and his nieces, Shelly, Krista, Heather and Heidi.
