She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Fischer and Elizabeth Fischer (Dobberthein); her husband Dennis Owen Day; her brother Carl "Hanse" Fischer; and her half-sister Erma Minear.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne Day (Linda) of Urbandale, IA, Russ Day (Janet) of Urbandale, IA and Dale Day (Mary Beth) of Dallas Center, IA; her grandchildren, Michael Day, Stephanie Day, Ben Day, Calvin Day (Abby), Ryan Day (Jillian) and Erin Poindexter (Jacob); and her great grandchildren, Remington Poindexter, Willa Day and Cora Day.
