With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dan Charles Newton of Grimes, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on January 21, 2021 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Newton. He is survived by: his mother Helen Newton (Hetzel) of Newton, Iowa; his wife Mary Clarke; his grandchildren, Logan and Libby; his children, Sarah Newcomb (BJ) of Grimes, Brian Newton of San Diego, California and Kevin Newton of Davenport, Iowa.; and his siblings, Ted Newton (Joan) of Loudon, Tennessee and Kay Peterson (David) of Gainesville, Virginia.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID, a private family funeral will be held on Monday, January 25th, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax.
