James Joseph Umscheid Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Joseph Umscheid Sr. (Greenville, Iowa), who passed away on April 28, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis John and Florence Umscheid (Wittrock); his son Timothy Umscheid; his grandson Adam Umscheid; his siblings, Marietta, Robert (Bessie) and Richard (Delores); and his brothers-in-law, Vernon Bueltel, Tike Gustoff, Sr. and Street.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Anderson; his sons, James Jr. (Mary Jo) of Spencer, IA and Tony of Kanawha, IA; his wife Beulah Jane Bonser Hanson; his daughter Teri Grange (Kent) of Sioux City, IA; his siblings, Marjorie Gustoff of Spencer, IA, Juanita Bueltel, Don Umscheid (Leslie) of Kenosha, WI and Fritz Umscheid (Jeanette) of Oregon; and his stepchildren, Cathy Gerdes of Garland, TX, Pam Best (Lance) of Graham, WA and Tom Hanson (Lorna) of Mountain Home, ID. He is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren five great-great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time.
