He is survived by: his wife Joanne of Greenfield; his children, Keith Dunkerson (Sheila) of Newton, Mike Dunkerson of Reed Springs, Missouri and Rhonda McCann (Don) of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Chris McCann (Amy) of Chicago, Bryan McCann (Jill) of Grinnell and Brandon Dunkerson (Chelsea); his stepdaughter Barbara Drees Herr McCann (Greg) of Tyndall; his stepgrandchildren, John, Stephen, Philip and David Herr; and his sister Lola. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and a step great-grandchild.
