With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Thompson Jr. of Greenfield, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his father Richard Lee; his grandchild Baylor; his stepfather Jimmy; and his sister Mary Jane. He is survived by: his mother Ginger Thompson (Elliott) of Greenfield; his children, Michelle Landers (Bill) of Exira, Kelcie Thompson (Wesley) of Hastings and Hunter Thompson (Kortney) of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Jerix Lee, Bryce Charles, Brock Daniel, Alexys Jo Ellynn and Briar Marcella; and his sisters, Sherri Beitz (Darin) of Fontanelle and Brenda Clayton (John) of Greenfield. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home - Greenfield (101 SE 4th St, Greenfield, IA 50849). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Richard "Butch" Thompson, Jr. Memorial Fund to be established by the family.
