He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude McKinney and Delpha McKinney (Mayne); his son Patrick Edward McKinney; his granddaughter Julie McKinney; and his great grandchild Ivan McKinney.
He is survived by: his wife Mary McKinney of Greenfield; his children, Larry McKinney of Kent, Gary McKinney, Marcia Moore of McKinney, Dan McKinney (Sharon) of Orient and Gale W. McKinney II (Audra) of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and his brother-in-law Ed Abbott of Afton, Iowa. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
