He was predeceased by: his wife Garnett Howery of Madison, Wisconsin.; his parents, John and Evalyn (Honish); his siblings, Jeannette Cerutti (Bill), John Graf (Mary) and Jane Brevitz; his son Gary; his son-in-law Doug Peterson; and his stepdaughters, Carla and Marcia Howery.
He is survived by: his former wife Julia Klima of Cornell, WI; his children, Fred (Joyce) of Nodaway, IA, Dan (Reba) of Plattsmouth, NE, Jean Paul (Pat) of Bellevue, NE, Bob (Karen) of Corning, IA, Patty Peterson of Corning, IA, Ed of Omaha, NE, Julie of San Diego, CA, Brenda Larsen (Jerry) of Humboldt, IA and Lisa of Cathedral City, CA; and his brother-in-law Bruce Brevitz (Fran). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren & 4 step grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren & 4 step great grandchildren.
