He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Lents and Doris Lents (Fick); his wife Marie Lents; his brother Ralph Lents; and his stepfather Paul Fick.

He is survived by: his children, Ralph Lents of Menlo, Dale Lents (Evonne) of Winterset, Wayne Lents (Ginny) of Creston and Cathy Lents of Des Moines; his siblings, Irene Westphal and Jim; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Lents of Greenfield, Betty Griffith (Jack Lint) of Rippey, Marilyn Stephenson of Adair and Martha Stephenson of Atlantic. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and the 13th great grandchild.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing will be practiced.

Memorials may be directed to Don Lents memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.
