He was predeceased by: his father James Hayes Jr.; his former wife Cheryl Hayes; and his father-in-law Donald Stevens. He is survived by: his mother Sharon Hayes (King); his former wife Cheryl Nelson; his wife Melissa Hayes; his children, Shelby Hayes (Dana), Ashley Wrinkle, Scott Nelson (Emily), Katherine Stevens and Rebecca Shally (Triston); and his sister Stephanie Preston (Kenny). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, Aunts, and Uncles.
A memorial fund will be established at a later date.
