He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Stanton and Martha Stanton (Maxwell); his wife Janice Schmitt; his brothers, Charles Stanton, Harry Stanton and Billy Joe Stanton; and his siblings-in-law, Elsa Stanton and Loren Clabough.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Stanton (Patty), Diane Stout (Andy), Sandra Russ (Jim) and Angie Bathke (Dale); his grandchildren, Mark Stanton (Montana), Laurie Stanton, Kim Tesdell (Mike), Nate Hodges (Courtney), Travis Hodges (Rachael), David Stout (Monica), Michael Stout (Jill Gerken), Emily Stout (Ziek Zymensky), Jessica Hebert (John), Chris Russ (Paige), Brett Russ (Allison) and Elisa Poggemiller (Mike); his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Stanton, Colt Stanton, Harper Stanton, Mackenzie Tesdell, Wyatt Tesdell, Tinsley Hodges, Kambri Hodges, Ryden Stout, Karter Stout, Camden Stout, Finley Hebert, Katherine Hebert, Oliver Hebert, Jenna Johnson, Halle Johnson and Florence Poggemiller; his siblings, Tom Stanton (Sue), Jim Stanton (Jan), Bernita Stanton and Harriet Clabough; and his sister-in-law Mary Stanton.
