He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mead and Cleo Detra Mead of Greene, Iowa.; his daughter Michelle Mead Salley; and his grandparents, Hazel, Walter Detra, Earl and Berniece Pearson.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Pearson; his daughter Kim (Dave Thomas); his son-in-law Tim Salley of New Hudson, MI; his son Tim Mead (Jody); his grandchildren, Sam, Nick Thomas, Carter, Reese Salley, Mara, Lucas and Caleb Mead; his brothers, Steven Mead (Jo) and Philip Mead; his siblings-in-law, Janet Miller and Dean Bishop; and his great-aunt Helen Lester (Don). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the Evangelical Covenant Church in Stanton, Stanton Library, or Red Oak Public Library.
