He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Merfeld; his children, Jane Smith (Ron) of Farmington, Dan F. Barth (Cindy) of Indianola, Marilyn Wunsch of Kalona and Mary Bridget "Bitsy" Barth of Urbana, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jessica Hammerschmidt (Chad), Sarah Jacobson (Bryce), Emily Smith, Samantha Barth, Benjamin Barth, Nathan Barth, Kayla Barth, Kyle Barth, Amanda Wunsch (Erik Shelton), Allyson Schable (Jason), Adam Wunsch (Liz), Liz Young (Scott) and Katie Vance (James); and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Jade, Corbin, Chase, Harper, Taylor, Avery, Lennox, Orion, David, Natalie and Peyton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
