With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eugene John Schaffer of Greeley, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schaffer and Myrtle Schaffer (Roling); his grandchildren, Michael Schaffer, Jr. and Dairy Rose Schaffer; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Schaffer and Mark Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Schaffer of Michael's Catholic Church; his children, Shelly Lubben (Justin) of Greeley, Marcia Smith (Tom) of Manchester and Mike Schaffer (Deb) of West Liberty; his grandchildren, Keshia Salow (Nick), Kelsey Bockenstedt (Ted), Karson Lubben (Nevaeh), Blake, Bryce Smith, Paige Jensen, Olivia, Diesel and Owen Schaffer; his great grandchildren, Keighan, Jackson and James; and his siblings, Fred Schaffer, John "Jack" Schaffer (Linda), Charles Schaffer (Elle), William "Bill" Schaffer (Donna), Robert "Bobby" Schaffer, Donald Schaffer (Diane) and Darlene Jackson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home (1500 N Franklin St, Manchester, IA 52057).
