Vernon, IA, Travis Plathe of Alton, IA, Lance Plathe (Jenni) of Alton, IA, Shannon Kramer (Dan) of Alton, Angela VanderSchaaf (Justin), Jesse Plathe of Iowa City, IA, Caitlin Plathe of Iowa City, IA, Kyle Plathe (Heather), Matthew Plathe (Alicia) of Dallas Center, IA and Trace Plathe of Sioux Falls, SD; his great grandchildren, Avery, Gavin, Sophee, Sidnee, Parker, Gia, Larkin, Hunter, Payton, Alec, Derrin, Cole, Owen and Olive; his siblings, Mark Plathe of Granville and Maro Plathe (Rosalie) of Granville; his parents-in-law, Virginia Wagner of Denver, CO, Julie Spieler of Beaver Dam, WI, Gene Neuroth, Bill Rawlings (Sarah) of Sioux City, IA, Charles Neuroth (Jean) of LeMars, IA, Dave Neuroth (Geraldine) of LeMars, IA, Paul Neuroth (Carrie) of Walterboro, SC, Lee Hammond (Marilyn) of Bonney Lake, WA, Rodney Neuroth (Paula) of Aiken, SC and Tim Neuroth (Connie) of Webster City, IA.; his son Robert Plathe; his sister Bertille Budden (Roman); his parents-in-law, JoAnn Plathe, Donald Neuroth (Jackie), Reynold Wagner, Joseph Spieler, Clifford Neuroth (Pat), Corita Neuroth, Theeann Brzuchalski, Joseph Neuroth and Partick Neuroth; and his nephew Jim Budden.
