He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Juhl and Ruth Juhl (Dirgo); his son William Robert Juhl Juuns; and his stepfather Albert Hansen. He is survived by: his former wife Marilyn Frances Burke; his son John of Grand Mound; his wife Christine Nelson; his daughter-in-law Jessica Juuns of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Moss and Cleo Juuns; and his siblings, Judy Davison-Larsen of Matherville, Dennis Juhl (Judy) of Roland and Dawn Juhl of Harlan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
