He was predeceased by: his mother Susan Girres (Ellis); and his grandparents, Bill, Ruth Ellis, Arnold and Agnes Girres.
He is survived by: his father William Girres of Graettinger; his siblings, Brian Girres (Sandy) of Graettinger, Lisa Chapman (Dave) of Graettinger and Shalene Naig (Jeff) of Graettinger; and his close friend Christy Konieczski. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel-Estherville (401 N 7th St, Estherville, IA 51334). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grandview Baptist Church (3705 170th St, Estherville, IA 51334).
