He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Nissen and Anna Nissen (Hansen); his wife Donna Pegum; his brothers, LeRoy and LaVerne Nissen; his parents-in-law, Gabriel and Loretta Pegum; and his brother-in-law Donald "Fib" Pegum.
He is survived by: his children, Norma Krogman (Mike) of Garner, IA, Greg Nissen (Karissa) of Miles City, MT and Julie Molacek (John) of Willmar, MN; his grandchildren, Jonathon Krogman, Kayla Krogman, Christopher Nissen, Tanner Nissen, Kylin Nissen, Taylon Nissen, Tereasa Kirsch, Tara Bernhagen and Trent Molacek; his stepgrandsons, Nathan Van't Hul and Tannor Owen; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Libby (Bill) of Streator, IL, Darril "Red" Pegum of Ruthven, IA and Peggy Libby of Streator, IL. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
