With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond P. Vought of Gowrie, Iowa, born in Rinard, Iowa, who passed away on April 9, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Vought and Lois Vought (Parks); and his siblings, Patricia Hannah, Katherine Onnen, Mary Ester Ortel, Judy Schuler, John and Warren Vought.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Schamel; his child Kris Burman (Roger); his brother Gary Vought (Jennifer Dohrmann) of Gowrie; his grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole, Sydney and Justin; his stepgrandson Ryan; his sister Carol Vought-Tyler; and his niece Donna Lewis. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
