He was predeceased by: his wife Opal Maxine Peterson; his parents, Martin Peterson and Martha Peterson (Heggen); and his sister-in-law Joan Natte. He is survived by: his son Mike Peterson (Lisa) of Callender; his grandsons, Parker Peterson (Robin) of Santa Monica, CA and Spencer Peterson of Callender; and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Autumn and Rhett.
