With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John F. Lizer (Gowrie, Iowa), born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, who passed away on September 10, 2019 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Kathy Lizer; his parents, Zeb Lizer and Blanche Lizer (Teeples); his brother Richard; and his wife LaVola Lawson.
He is survived by: his children, John M. Lizer (Alyce) of Fort Dodge, Joel Lizer (Sheilah) of Des Moines and Mary Patterson (Jeff) of Lohrville; his grandchildren, Tyler, Lindsey (Eric), Jennifer (Adam), Jade (Tyler), Joelle and Jay (Lexi); his great grandchildren, Addison, Ava, Brentley, Dakota, Aubree, Esley and Ella; and his sister Marjorie Burkgren of Ames. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
