He was predeceased by: his parents, James Douglas and Doris Jean Brown (Chantry); and his parents-in-law, Tommy and Loretta Walker. He is survived by: his wife Kathy of Glidden; his son James Brown (Nicole) of Audubon; his stepdaughters, Amber Sorensen of Emmetsburg, IA and Desirae Boggs (Chris) of Carroll; his grandchildren, Gracie, Jimmy, Molly, Davin, Joy, Annie, Lanie, Jessie, Shelbie, Kaydence, Waylon and Whitley; his siblings, Bill Brown of Carroll and Bonnie Jensen of Hawaii; and his siblings-in-law, Jennifer Teems (Michael) of Tallahassee, FL and Thomas Walker (Bonnie) of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Church - Carroll (20949 Olympic Ave, Carroll, IA 51401). A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery.
