It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emmett Roger Lahr of Glidden, Iowa, who passed away on October 17, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Janice Kay Keairnes; his parents, Charles Lahr and Julia Lahr; and his siblings, Grace Head, Lyle, Dean, Bill and Doris.
He is survived by: his sons-in-law, Lon Brincks and Mark Peters; his granddaughters, Maddi Peters, Karli Holtkamp and Caitlin Lahr; his wife Mary Anne of Glidden; his children, Sherri Brincks (Lon) of Overland Park, KS, Kristi Peters (Mark) of Breda, Scott Lahr (Cheryl) of Manilla and Jenni Lahr of Overland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Sarah Brincks, Matt Brincks (Kelsey), Mitchell Lahr (ShelbyLynn Baker), Grant Lahr, Caleb Lahr and Julia Brincks; his great grandchildren, Adalynn and Emmett; and his sisters, Dorothy McQuaid of Dunlap, Donna Oster of Carroll, Sharon Kay DeLance of Venice, FL and Connie Yopp of Creston. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers and memorials, it was Emmett's wish for people to "pay it forward" with random acts of kindness.
