He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Bushman and Marjorie Bushman of Glidden; his wife Dorothy Jobe of Des Moines; his children, Casey Young (Eric), Kevin (Jen) of Franklin, TN, Beau (Jamie) of Cedar Rapids and Nicholas of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Jacob, Kyrie, Navy of Seattle, WA and Isabelle; and his sisters, Lora Janssen (Stan) of Coon Rapids and Janice Baumhover (Jay) of Mt. Carmel.
