He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo Joyce and Lena Monthey (Miller); his son Michael; his sister Ardell Diener; his grandson Joseph David Flichman, Jr. of Niceville, Florida.; his wife Patricia Monthey; his children, Debra Monthey Otero of Portland, Oregon, Mike Monthey, P. K. Barnett of Urbandale, Iowa, Lori Haney (Bill) of Gautier, Mississippi and Pamela Jean Monthey of Glenwood, Iowa; and his brother Lloyd Monthey (Jo) of Harlan, Iowa. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
