He was predeceased by: his parents, Jules Mingo and Agnes Mingo (Saucier); his wife Audrey; his daughter Terri Shannon; his sons-in-law, Larry Gipson and Rich Anderson; and his siblings, Raymond, Clayton, Ronald Mingo and Betty Larsen.

He is survived by: his children, Lori Gipson of Lincoln, NE, Susie Tack (David) of Las Vegas, NV, Joseph Mingo (Kathryn) of Islip, NY, Julie Anderson (Bobby Dickerson) of Cape Coral, FL, Mike Mingo (Kathy) of Omaha, NE and Greg Mingo (Melissa) of Las Vegas. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; other relatives; and many special friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church (24116 Marian Ave, Glenwood, IA 51534). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 6:45 PM at the Loess Hills Funeral Home (112 N Vine St, Glenwood, IA 51534). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church (24116 Marian Ave, Glenwood, IA 51534).
