He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Amy Schmadeke (Greg) of Callender and Scott Schaefer (Diane) of Glenwood; and his grandchildren, Sarah Peters (Craig), Laura Chalstrom (Aaron), Anne Simpson (Chris), Kalyn Wilson (Ermal) and Blake Schaefer (Jess). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
