He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Creel and Mabel Phylurah Yates (Ross); his former wife Jacklyn Ann Jinings; his siblings, Wendell, Darrell, Gary, Alene, Pat and Betty; his wife Jackie Yates; his children, John Yates (Denise) of Glenwood, Iowa, Rick Yates of Glenwood, Iowa, Mike Yates of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Don A. Yates of Glenwood, Iowa, Jim Yates, Tim Yates of Glenwood, Iowa, Lisa Yates Ertle (Scott) of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Darrell Yates (Michelle) of Gig Harbor, Washington; his stepdaughter Denise Jens of Glenwood, Iowa; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Yates of Glenwood, Iowa. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
