We are sad to announce that on February 20, 2025, Donald D. Bruce of Glenwood, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Donald farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Donald is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Peter and Nellie Bernice Bruce (Russell). He is survived by: his wife Diane Bruce of Glenwood, Iowa; his children, Bonnie York (Mark) of Omaha, Mike Bruce (Brenda) of Omaha and Heather Bruce of La Vista; and his stepchildren, Teresa Needham (Lloyd) of Glenwood, Mike Malcom (Lori) of Glenwood, Dave Malcom (Carol) of Glenwood and Steve Malcom of Glenwood. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 19 step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peterson Mortuary (212 S Locust St, Glenwood, IA 51534). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
