He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Lynn Franklin; his wife Monica Shepard; his son Toby; his brother Brad; his mother Betty Merritt of Glenwood, Iowa; his daughters, Felica Hazuka (Nathaniel) of Omaha, Nebraska and Brianna Hockabout-Merritt of Glenwood, Iowa; and his grandsons, Cameron Merritt of Omaha, Nebraska, Damon Merritt of Glenwood, Iowa and HoneyBear. He was also cherished by relatives and many friends.
