He is survived by: his children, Edward Reese of LaMoille, IA, Jane Anne Burgstahler (Charlie) of Ogilvie, MN, Gail Reese (Susan) of Gladbrook, IA, Jeff Reese (Sherry) of State Center, IA and June Holland (Daniel) of Dubuque, IA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Mahoney (Jeff), Jamie Reese, Jason Reese, Justin Reese (Ariel), Mark Ecklor (Kim), Calvin Burgstahler (Aja), Ryan Burgstahler (Alexa), Brian Reese (Shannon), Krystal Wedgwood (Ben), Amy Reese Harris, Heather Paar, Crystal Paar, Ben Reese (Megan) and Ashley Jensen (Joey); and his sister Darla Smith. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
