She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Koester and Lorene Koester (Matznick). She is survived by: her husband Larry Pieper; her daughter Kristi Carlson of Melbourne, IA; her grandchildren, Elle Carlson and Cael Carlson; her siblings, Peg Nirider (Stan) of Corsicana, TX and Rich Koester (Rachael); and her sister-in-law Marcia Clark (Jim) of Eldora, IA. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
