It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Maas of Gladbrook, Iowa, who passed away on February 15, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Staker and Katherine Staker (Ladehoff); her husband Erwin Maas; her daughters, Patricia Arp and Kristie Maas; and her brother Donovan (Jean).

She is survived by: her children, JoAnn, Vicki Maas of Colorado and James Maas (Niki) of Waterloo, IA; and her grandchildren, Shane Arp (Laurie) of Ankeny, IA, Marisa Milks (Rick) of Jesup, IA, Jill Miller (Randy) of Guthrie Center, IA, Jaime Sieck (Lindsey) of Littleton, CO, Patrick Maas (Suzanne) of Waverly, IA, Nicholas Maas (Sydney) of Waterloo, IA and Jonathan Maas (Megan) of Cedar Falls, IA. She is also survived by three step grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
