He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Eggers and Martha Eggers (Busch); his wife Darlene; his son Ricky Eggers; and his siblings, Merlyn Eggers, Harold Eggers, Delores Casebolt (Howard), Roger Eggers and Lynn Eggers.

He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Lewis (Marty) of Dripping Springs, TX; his grandchildren, Shantel Porterfield (Jarret) of Wimberley, TX and Brent Lewis (Daniela) of Austin, TX; his great grandchildren, Forrest, June Porterfield and Halston Lewis; and his sister Joette Thomas (Bobby) of Bentonsport, IA..
